Start the Enrollment Process
Don’t let anything hold you back from learning what you are passionate about. If you’re ready to take the next step and start your clinical esthetics education, here is a general overview of the enrollment process at MedSpa Institute of America:
- Schedule a Tour. During your tour you will see our state of the training facility, receive tuition and payment plan options, and meet the experienced medical skincare teachers! We pride ourselves in having all the latest equipment and staying current on the latest trends and technologies being very ahead of any other programs in the country.
- Complete Application Paperwork. After coming in for a tour, we’ll ask for additional information, such as a high school diploma or proof of GED completion. Admissions requirements vary per program, so if you have any questions about what you would need to apply, please reach out to us by calling (952) 681-2167.
- Set Your Class Start Date. Once all the paperwork is in order, then it’s time to get ready for your first day of class! We can’t wait to help you meet your goals of pursuing a career in the skincare industry.

Admissions Requirements
Admissions requirements vary per program, so if you want to see if you are qualified to enroll, please get in touch with our team.
In general, anyone with a GED can take our esthetics course, laser program, microblading course, and CPR and first aid program. You must hold your esthetics or cosmetology license to take advanced practice esthetics. While our laser program does not require previous licensure, we do recommend this program if you have already completed your esthetics and advanced practice esthetics education.
For our cosmetic injection courses you must have a medical background (RN, NP, MD).

Our Programs
Esthetics
Get a basic foundation of key services licensed estheticians must know, including facials, makeup, and waxing. This is a good starting point if you’re interested in a career in skincare.
Advanced Practice Esthetics
Dive deeper into clinical skincare after completing a basic esthetics program, where you can learn more clinical techniques, including microneedling, dermaplaning, and more.
Laser Certification
If you’re already a licensed esthetician and skincare professional, add additional specialized services to your resume through our unique laser certification program.
Microblading
This course can help you create gorgeous brows through specialized techniques. Advance your skincare education through Minnesota’s only licensed course in the state!
Cosmetic Injection Training
Learn how to do more clinical services such as injections and fillers. While this course is only available to RNs, it’s a great opportunity to get your foot in the door of skincare.
